These Moorish dark chocolate protein bars are so simple to make. The black beans in this recipe add extra fudginess and squish to these which makes them easier to eat – a potential bad thing as you end up going back for more!
2 scoops chocolate whey protein powder
40g cocoa powder
40g erythriol / xylitol
60g coconut flour (or oat flour works fine if you can’t get coconut flour)
½ tin of black beans (cooked, drained and unsalted!) – these make them fudgy
50g dark chocolate
1. Place the ingredients (apart from chocolate) into a food processor and blend to make a smooth dough.
2. Shape into 5- 6 bars (depending on how greedy big you want the bars to be).
3. Melt the dark chocolate into a bain marie and then pour onto the bars.
4. Transfer these to a baking tray lined with some parchment paper and place in fridge for a few hours till they have set!
Macros per bar 156kcals, 11g protein, 8g carbs (out of which 7g is fiber!!!!) and 8g fat
